| Obverse description | Laureate head of the emperor Trajan facing right, depicted nude with an aegis draped over the left shoulder, rendered in the characteristic Alexandrian provincial style. The portrait displays a bold, high-relief effigy with finely articulated laurel wreath and strong facial features typical of Trajanic coinage. A Greek imperial legend surrounds the bust, reading partially along the left and right fields. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show patinated bronze consistent with circulation wear. |
