Obverse description Laureate bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, with naturalistic portrait features rendered in the Roman imperial style characteristic of Alexandrian provincial coinage. The laureate wreath is rendered in detail around the head, with the portrait showing the emperor's mature physiognomy. The Greek legend encircles the bust in the field, partially visible along the periphery of the flan. The strike is somewhat uneven, consistent with the irregular flan typical of Alexandrian bronze issues of this period.
