| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, depicted nude with an aegis draped over the left shoulder. The portrait is rendered in the characteristic Roman imperial style, with the laureate wreath clearly delineated across the brow. The obverse legend surrounds the bust, identifying the emperor with his full titulature in Greek characters. The flan is irregular in shape, as is typical of Alexandrian bronze coinage of this period. |
