Obverse description Laureate bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, depicted nude with an aegis draped over the left shoulder, rendered in the bold portraiture style characteristic of Alexandrian provincial coinage. The imperial effigy is strongly modelled with individualistic facial features. The obverse legend encircles the bust, giving the emperor's titles in Greek characters.

Reverse description Zeus enthroned to the left, seated on a high-backed throne, holding a small figure of Nike in his extended right hand and a thunderbolt in his left. An eagle stands to the left of the throne, facing inward. The regnal date legend L ΙΔ (Year 14) appears in the field, flanking the central type, consistent with the Alexandrian dating system. The composition is set within a plain circular border.
