| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, nude with an aegis draped over the left shoulder, rendered in the characteristic Alexandrian provincial style. The portrait displays strong, naturalistic features with short hair beneath the laurel wreath. The surrounding legend in Greek characters is distributed around the periphery of the flan, partially visible on this irregular planchet. The reverse die axis and the broad, flat fields are typical of Alexandrian bronze coinage of the Trajanic period. |
