Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, with an aegis visible on the left shoulder, rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style. The portrait exhibits the characteristic bold relief of early second-century Roman Egyptian coinage, with the laurel wreath rendered in stylized form. The imperial legend in Greek characters runs around the periphery of the obverse field. The flan is irregular and slightly cracked, consistent with typical Alexandrian bronze fabric of this period.
