Reverse description Dionysus depicted standing facing, his head turned to the left, clad in a long chiton reaching to his feet. The god holds a thyrsus in one hand and extends a bunch of grapes toward a panther positioned at his feet to the left, which gazes upward in a pose of adoration. The composition reflects the standard Dionysiac iconography prevalent in the civic coinage of Carian cities during the Severan period. The reverse legend ΑΡΧ ΑΡΤΕΜΙΔΩΡΟΥ ΤΑΒΗΝΩΝ, disposed around the field, records the name of the local magistrate Artemidoros and the civic ethnic of Tabae.
