| Obverse description | Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Caracalla facing right, seen from the front, with the radiate crown rendered in pronounced relief above the youthful imperial effigy. The emperor is depicted wearing a paludamentum fastened at the right shoulder and a muscled cuirass, with visible pteryges at the shoulder. The Greek legend encircles the bust within a beaded border, identifying the emperor by his imperial titulature. |

| Reverse description | A tetrastyle temple depicted in frontal elevation, its four columns supporting an entablature and pediment containing a disc or round shield in the tympanum. Within the intercolumniation stands a male figure facing front, head turned to the left, the right hand extended and possibly holding an uncertain attribute, while the left arm rests upon a tall sceptre. The architectural rendering reflects the standard civic coinage idiom of Pontic Amisus, with the city's name and era date distributed in the surrounding Greek legend. |
