Obverse description Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Philip I (Philip the Arab) facing right, portrayed three-quarters from the rear, with the emperor shown bearded. The radiate crown is clearly visible above the laureate features. The bust displays elaborate military dress with visible pauldron and pteryges, rendered in the provincial style typical of Commagenian civic coinage. The obverse legend encircles the effigy, reading ΑΥΤΟΚ Κ Μ ΙΟΥΛΙ ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟϹ ϹΕΒ.
