| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Philip I (Philip the Arab) facing right, presented from a rear three-quarter perspective, conveying a sense of imperial authority. The effigy displays the characteristic portraiture style of mid-3rd century provincial coinage, with the paludamentum fastened at the shoulder. A Greek legend encircles the bust in the field, reading ΑΥΤ ΜΑ ΙΟΥ ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟϹ ϹΕΒΑ, identifying the emperor with his imperial titles.
