Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, portrayed in three-quarter view from the rear, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder and the cuirass rendered in fine detail. The imperial effigy displays the characteristic Hadrianic beard and short-cropped hair beneath the laurel wreath. The Greek legend encircles the bust along the periphery of the flan, partially interrupted by a substantial flan flaw or chip at the upper right. The coin exhibits the broad, distinctive fabric typical of Alexandrian bronze coinage of the second century AD.
