| Obverse description | Laureate, draped bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style with characteristic bold relief. The effigy displays a wreath of laurel encircling the head, with the emperor's beard rendered in fine detail typical of Hadrianic portraiture. The surrounding Greek legend reads in two parts across the field, identifying the emperor by his full titulature. The flan is notably broad and irregular, characteristic of Alexandrian bronze coinage of this period. |
