| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, depicted from the rear, revealing the back of the cuirass with finely rendered musculature and drapery over the left shoulder. The laureate wreath is clearly articulated atop the imperial effigy. A partial Greek legend runs along the right field, identifying the emperor by his full imperial titulature. The flan is notably irregular with pronounced edge irregularities typical of Alexandrian provincial coinage of this period. |
