| Reverse description | The reverse presents a compositional pairing of two allegorical figures rendered as half-figures. To the left, a small draped bust of Euthenia (personification of abundance and prosperity) faces forward with her head turned slightly to the right, holding a sistrum. To the right, a larger draped half-figure of Nilus, the personification of the River Nile, faces left, crowned with a taenia and lotus buds, and holds a reed. The juxtaposition of scales emphasises the primacy of Nilus, while the date regnal legend appears in the field. |
