Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of the emperor Hadrian facing right, seen from the rear, with paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The Greek imperial legend encircles the effigy along the periphery of the flan. The portrait is rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style, with characteristic broad modeling typical of the Hadrianic period. The flan shows the irregular striking characteristic of Egyptian provincial bronze coinage.
