Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Claudius II Gothicus facing right, seen from behind, with paludamentum and segmented armour visible. The effigy is rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Pisidian civic coinage of the mid-third century AD. A beaded border encircles the design. The Greek imperial legend runs around the periphery of the field.

Reverse description A lion in full leap strides dynamically to the left, its mane rendered with coarse, curling locks and its body in vigorous motion with all four paws extended. Beneath the lion, a small palm branch is visible in the lower field. The civic legend of Sagalassus is inscribed around the periphery within a beaded border, with the Greek numeral Ι (10) appearing below the lion, likely indicating a local civic era year or denominational mark.
