| Obverse description | Draped bust of Faustina II facing right, her hair elaborately styled and bound, depicted in the typical Antonine court fashion with waves drawn back from the face. The effigy is rendered in moderate relief characteristic of Alexandrian provincial coinage. A partial Greek legend encircles the portrait in the field. The overall workmanship reflects the provincial die-cutting style of the Roman mint at Alexandria. |
