Reverse description A monumental altar or flat-roofed tetrastyle or hexastyle temple structure depicted frontally, its roof adorned with acroteria in the form of aphlasta (ship's stern ornaments). The entablature and columns are garlanded, with barriers or lattice screens visible between the columns. At each end of the base stands an uncertain figure. Above the structure rises a pyre or stepped platform, consistent with depictions of the imperial cult altar at Alexandria. The reverse date legend L ΙΖ (regnal year 17) appears in the field.
