| Obverse description | Laureate head of Antoninus Pius facing left, with traces of drapery visible at the truncation. The emperor is depicted with a short beard and characteristically wavy hair beneath the laurel wreath, rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style. The Greek imperial legend encircles the effigy, reading from the right field around to the left. The portrait exhibits high relief typical of Alexandrian bronze coinage of the Antonine period. |
