| Obverse description | Laureate, draped bust of Antoninus Pius facing right, rendered in the characteristic Alexandrian provincial style with bold, naturalistic modelling. The emperor's laurel wreath is clearly articulated, with individual leaves visible across the brow, and the paludamentum is fastened at the right shoulder. A partially preserved Greek legend encircles the effigy, reading from the left and continuing around the upper and right fields. |
