Obverse description Laureate head of the emperor Antoninus Pius facing right, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Alexandrian coinage. The portrait displays the emperor's characteristic beard and laurel wreath, with the effigy occupying the central field. A Greek legend encircles the bust, giving the emperor's full titulature. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show heavy patination consistent with circulation wear, partially obscuring the peripheral legend.
