| Reverse description | Two Canopi (sacred vessels of Osiris-Canopus) shown facing front, each surmounted by a distinct head, set upon a draped rectangular base or altar with visible drapery folds. Between the two Canopi rises a thymiaterion (incense burner), its stem clearly delineated. The regnal date legend L Β appears flanking the group in the field, to the left and right respectively. The composition reflects the strongly Egyptianizing religious iconography characteristic of Alexandrian provincial coinage. |
