Obverse description Draped bust of Empress Salonina facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed and bound with a diadem, rendered in the provincial Greek style characteristic of the Lydian conventus. The effigy is depicted from the shoulder upward with visible drapery folds across the chest. The encircling Greek legend reads ΚΟΡΝΗΛΙΑ ϹΑΛΩΝΕΙΝΑ in the field around the portrait.
