Reverse description Artemis, the divine huntress and patron deity of Mytilene, depicted in dynamic motion advancing rightward aboard a biga drawn by two stags. The goddess is shown in the act of drawing an arrow from her quiver slung over her shoulder while simultaneously holding her bow, conveying vigorous forward movement. The reverse legend, inscribed in four lines within the field and in the exergue area, records the name of the local magistrate (strategos) under whose authority the coin was issued, along with the ethnic of the Mytileneans.
