Reverse description Dionysus, nude and youthful, seated astride a panther advancing to the right, his right arm resting upon the animal's back and his left arm raised to support a long thyrsus across his shoulder. In the lower field, a cantharus flanked by ivy leaves serves as an attribute of the god. The composition reflects the Dionysiac imagery favored in the civic bronze coinage of Bithynia during the Severan era.
