| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Caracalla facing right, depicted from the rear in the characteristic provincial three-quarter back view. The emperor wears a radiate laurel wreath and military cuirass with visible pteruges, the paludamentum draped over the left shoulder. The encircling Greek legend runs along the beaded border. The portrait exhibits the bold, high-relief modelling typical of Lydian provincial bronzes of the Severan period. |
