Obverse description Confronted busts of Maximinus I, laureate, draped and cuirassed, facing right, and Maximus Caesar, bare-headed, draped and cuirassed, facing left, arranged facing one another in the field. The Imperial titulature legend runs around the periphery, identifying both rulers. The portrait style is characteristic of provincial bronze coinage of the Severan-Maximinian era, with bold, somewhat schematic facial features typical of Phrygian civic mint production.
