| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Lucius Verus, draped in paludamentum and cuirass, facing right and seen from the rear, as is characteristic of Alexandrian provincial coinage of this period. The partially preserved Greek legend runs along the periphery of the flan. The portrait exhibits the typical Antonine rendering of the imperial effigy as issued by the Alexandria mint, with bold, high-relief modelling. The flan shows notable irregularity with multiple flan flaws and edge chips consistent with hand-hammered provincial production. |
