| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Elagabalus facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the rear, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The imperial effigy is portrayed in the conventional provincial Roman style, with the laurel wreath clearly delineated across the brow. A Greek legend encircles the bust within a beaded border, identifying the emperor by his dynastic name Antoninus and his divine filial title. |
