Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Antoninus Pius facing right, wearing the paludamentum (military cloak) fastened at the shoulder. The emperor's effigy is rendered in the characteristic Antonine style, with a finely detailed laureate wreath and full beard. A partial Greek legend runs along the periphery of the flan, naming the emperor in his full titulature. The flan is irregular in shape, as is typical of Alexandrian provincial bronze coinage of this period.
