| Obverse description | Laureate head of Antoninus Pius facing right, with traces of drapery visible at the truncation, rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style characteristic of the mid-second century. The laureate wreath is depicted with individuated leaves and the emperor's aged, bearded features are rendered with moderate relief. A partially legible Greek legend surrounds the portrait, running along the outer border. The flan is irregular and shows typical wear consistent with circulation, with portions of the legend partially off the flan or effaced. |
