Obverse description Laureate head of Emperor Antoninus Pius facing right, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Phrygian civic coinage. The portrait displays characteristic features of the emperor with a short beard and laureate wreath. The Greek imperial titulature legend encircles the bust, with the rho rendered in the distinctive Þ form common to certain Anatolian provincial issues. The flan is irregular and the surface shows typical patination consistent with Antonine-period bronze provincial coinage.
