| Reverse description | Zeus Lydios depicted standing left in full figure, clad in long robes, holding in his outstretched right hand an eagle with wings spread and in his left hand a tall sceptre. The Greek magistrate's legend encircles the design, referencing the eponymous archon Aurelius Apphianos serving in his second term as first archon of the Maeonians. |
