| Obverse description | Draped bust of Herennia Etruscilla facing right, wearing a diadem, with a crescent symbol at the shoulders. The effigy is rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Ephesian bronzes of the mid-third century AD. The encircling Greek legend reads ΕΡΕΝ ΕΤΡΟΥϹΚΙΛΛΑ ϹΕΒ, identifying the empress as Augusta. The portrait exhibits the broad, softly modelled facial features typical of Ephesian civic coinage under the reign of Trajan Decius. |

| Reverse description | Androklos, the legendary founder and first oikist of Ephesus, depicted standing and advancing to the right, thrusting a spear downward into a wild boar that charges to the right. A hunting dog is shown at his feet, referencing the mythological founding narrative in which an oracle instructed settlers to follow a boar and a fish to the site of the new city. The scene is enclosed within a linear border, with the Greek legend ΕΦΕϹΙΩΝ ΑΝΔΡΟΚΛΟϹ distributed around the field. The composition reflects the strong civic pride and mythological identity expressed on Ephesian provincial coinage of this period. |
