| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Caracalla facing right, rendered from the rear in the characteristic Severan provincial style, with the paludamentum fastened at the right shoulder and muscled cuirass visible below. The effigy occupies the central field, with the Greek imperial legend arranged around the periphery. The portraiture displays the youthful features associated with Caracalla's early co-regency coinage, with a laurel wreath of multiple leaves crowning the head.
