Obverse description Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Caracalla facing left, viewed from the rear, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Bithynian civic coinage. The imperial titulature is displayed in Greek characters around the periphery of the flan. The portrait exhibits the characteristic military dress of the Severan period, with paludamentum fastened at the shoulder visible beneath the cuirass. The die engraving, though worn, retains the essential features of the imperial effigy as presented on Bithynian civic issues of this reign.
