Obverse description Draped bust of Otacilia Severa facing right, her hair elaborately waved and drawn back, adorned with a stephane (diadem). The effigy is rendered in the typical provincial portraiture style of the mid-third century AD, with a crescent-shaped shoulder drape visible at the bust truncation. The encircling Greek legend names the empress in her full imperial titulature, distributed around the periphery of the flan.
