Obverse description Draped bust of Faustina II facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed and drawn back in the characteristic Antonine fashion. The portrait is rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Carian civic coinage, with the drapery folds visible at the shoulder. The Greek legend ΦΑΥϹΤΕΙΝΑ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΗ (Faustina Augusta) is disposed around the bust in the field. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show the characteristic patina of a heavily circulated provincial bronze.
