Obverse description Draped bust of Faustina II facing right, depicted with characteristic elaborate coiffure. The empress is shown with drapery over the shoulder, rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Lydian civic coinage of the Antonine period. The circular Greek legend ΦΑΥϹΤΕΙΝΑ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΗ surrounds the effigy, identifying her as Augusta. The flan is irregular and the surface shows heavy patination consistent with provincial bronze coinage.
