Obverse description Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Macrinus facing right, depicted from a rear three-quarter perspective, presenting the full cuirass with detailed armour ornamentation visible at the shoulder. The effigy is set within a beaded border, with the imperial titulature legend distributed around the periphery of the flan. The portraiture reflects the provincial die-cutting style characteristic of Pontic colonial issues of the early third century AD.
