| Obverse description | Turreted, veiled, and draped bust of the Tyche of Thyatira facing right, wearing a mural crown atop a veil that falls over the shoulders, the drapery rendered in fine folds across the chest. The effigy is depicted in the provincial Greek style characteristic of Asia Minor civic coinage under Gordian III. The encircling legend naming the magistrate Apollinarios and the Thyatirans runs around the periphery of the field. |
