Obverse description Diademed and draped bust of Empress Tranquillina facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed and bound with a diadem, wearing a stephane. The effigy is rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Asia Minor civic coinage of the mid-3rd century AD. A beaded border frames the design, with the imperial titulature legend distributed around the periphery of the flan.
