Reverse description Standing group of three deities of healing depicted in the field: Asclepius stands at left facing, his head turned to the right, leaning upon his serpent-entwined staff (kerykeion); Hygieia stands at right facing, her head turned left, extending a patera toward the serpent she feeds; between the two principal figures, the diminutive chthonic deity Telesphorus stands frontally, enveloped in his characteristic hooded mantle. The composition reflects the prominent cult of Asclepius in the region of Phrygia. The reverse legend distributed around the field records the name and title of the presiding local magistrate.
