| Obverse description | Laureate head of the emperor Domitian facing right, wearing an aegis on the shoulder, rendered in the provincial portrait style characteristic of the Ephesian mint. The effigy is boldly modelled with strong facial features. A circular Greek legend surrounds the portrait, reading ΔΟΜΙΤΙΑΝΟϹ ΚΑΙϹΑΡ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΟϹ ΓΕΡΜΑΝΙΚΟϹ, distributed around the periphery of the flan. |
