Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of the emperor Commodus facing right, seen from the centre, with the paludamentum fastened at the shoulder. The effigy exhibits the characteristic portraiture of Commodus with a full beard and strong features typical of Antonine provincial coinage.
