| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of the emperor Commodus facing right, seen from the centre, with the paludamentum fastened at the shoulder. The effigy exhibits the characteristic portraiture of Commodus with a full beard and strong features typical of Antonine provincial coinage. The encircling obverse legend in Greek identifies the emperor by his imperial titulature. |
