| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Caracalla facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the rear, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder and the cuirass decorated with a central boss. The effigy displays the characteristic portrait style of Caracalla with a robust neck and thick curling hair beneath the laurel wreath. The encircling Greek legend runs around the periphery of the flan. |
