Obverse description Laureate head of Vespasian facing right, rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style with bold, slightly stylised features. The emperor's portrait displays the characteristic broad forehead and strong jaw associated with Flavian portraiture. A wreath of laurel encircles the head, rendered in low relief typical of Alexandrian bronze coinage. The Greek imperial titulature runs around the periphery of the flan, partially visible despite the coin's worn condition.

Reverse description Draped bust of Nilus facing right, crowned with a lotus flower atop the head, a characteristic attribute of the Nile god in Alexandrian iconography. A cornucopia rests prominently over the left shoulder, symbolising the river's life-giving fertility and abundance. The figure is rendered in the distinctive provincial style of the Alexandrian mint, with broad, somewhat schematic modelling. The regnal date legend L Α appears in the field, denoting the first year of Vespasian's reign as reckoned by the Alexandrian calendar.
