| Reverse description | Standing cult statue of Kore (Persephone) depicted facing, shown full-length in a frontal hieratic pose characteristic of ancient cult imagery. The goddess wears a kalathos (basket crown) upon her head, and stalks of poppy or grain ears flank her on either side, referencing her chthonic and agricultural associations. The composition reflects the local religious veneration at Iulia Gordus, rendered in the provincial artistic tradition. The reverse legend in two lines frames the design, recording the presiding magistrate and civic identity. |
