Reverse description A male figure, likely Septimius Severus or Caracalla, depicted in military dress and standing to the right, holding a vertical spear in one hand while clasping the right hand of Tyche (or a civic goddess) standing to the left. Tyche holds a transverse sceptre and may bear additional civic attributes. The scene evokes the concord between the imperial house and the city of Metropolis in Ionia. The reverse legend identifying the Metropolitans of Ionia runs around the field, partially legible due to heavy wear.
