| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Caracalla facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the front, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The portrait displays the characteristic youthful features of Caracalla in his early co-regency years. A circular Greek legend surrounds the effigy, bordered by a dotted rim. The flan is irregular and shows the typical characteristics of provincial hammered coinage from the Pontic region. |
